Fist
The fist is the weakest basic weapon you have available. On the other hand (No pun intended) it is always available. You’ll have to use it in two or three missions.
Knife
A knife is effective for a calm undercut; otherwise it’s not so frequently used. Again, you’ll use it only when you’ve nothing else.

Baseball bat
A baseball bat is the strongest hand weapon; you can manage to do some serious damage with it. But it isn’t as effective as a firearm, so try to get a gun of some kind as soon as possible.
Glock Gun
A Glock is a classic 9mm weapon. It’s a good choice in the beginning, but you won’t be using it afterwards, when the game starts to get “harder”.

Eagle
A Desert Eagle is stronger than Glock, but it also rarer.

Combat sniper
G3SG/1 – This sniper gun originated from a modification of the H&K G3. It is a normal sniper gun. One shot: one dead man.

Sniper
PSG1 – this is another version of the popular G3. It uses the same buttons as the gun above.
Shotgun
A huge shotgun with incredible power, but only for a short distance.
Combat gun
Micro-SMG
Micro UZI – needs no introductions if you’ve already played some of GTA series. It’s fast, but not too accurate.

SMG
MP5 - this one is also a mainstay of GTA. This automatic gun is strong and accurate but a little bit slower than an Uzi. It can be used for many situations, such as in a gun-fight or during a motorbike chase.
M4
M4 Carbine - this is probably the strongest gun out of the common weapons. It’s good for middle distances and it can also be used against groups. A great gun.
AK-47
AK-47 – traditional Russian production, it is a little bit weaker than the M4, but it will come in handy.

RPG
RPG 7 – This rocket gun is made in Russia. It unleashes devastating explosions to vehicles and groups of people. It is too slow for one-on-one combat.
Molotov
Molotov cocktail – this is one of the oldest weapons of Grand Theft Auto. When you throw it at a target, it will burn for a while. It is effective against vehicles and bigger groups of people. But be careful not to burn yourself!
Grenade
